Cumming is a small town that has made mostly quiet history in the world with a few loud events. Thanks to the gold rush, it enjoyed great prosperity in the 1830s and 40s. It wasn’t as central to the gold as it could have been, but it was still near enough to draw attention and wealth. Many shops and businesses were able to open and prosper.
