Pittsfield

Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is regarded as one of the primary population centers located in Western Massachusetts, with a population of over 40,000 people. The city’s population had grown due to the success of General Electric. Pittsfield is known for its homes from the mid-18th century and numerous historic neighborhoods, and its excellent musical theaters. Some of the more famous tourist attractions in the city include Berkshire Museum, Hebert Arboretum, Wahconah Park, and The Colonial Theatre. In 2017, the Arts Vibrancy Index compiled by the National Center for Arts Research ranked Pittsfield and Berkshire County as the No. 1 medium-sized community in the nation for the arts.
