Western Springs

Western Springs is an affluent suburb in Chicago with a population of approximately 13,000 residents. Situated in Cook County as one of the best places to live in Illinois, Western Springs has highly rated public schools, and second among a list of the 50 best places to raise children, according to BusinessWeek.com. The village boasts a number of beautiful parks, such as Ridge Acres Park, Ridgewood Park, Rock Springs Park, and Springdale Park, which are ideal picnic spots. Some of the village attractions include Thomas Ford Memorial Library and All Saints Episcopal Church. Until recently, the village has not permitted the sale of alcoholic beverages.
