Alice Schroeder is an experienced non-executive director and committee chair who has served on several boards in the financial services and healthcare sectors, including UK and US-listed businesses as well as privately-held companies and regulated subsidiaries. Schroeder is the author of the #1 New York Times best-selling book, “The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life.” She is the only author with whom Buffett has ever cooperated on a biography. Schroeder previously served on the board of Prudential plc, Natus Medical, Westland Insurance and Bank of America Merrill Lynch International. She was a top-ranked analyst on Wall Street with a focus on insurance and investment management before joining Morgan Stanley where she was a Managing Director and Senior Advisor leading the global insurance research team. Today, she serves on the boards of HSBC North America Holdings, Carbon Streaming, Dakota Gold Group, and RefleXion Medical.
EARLY CAREER
Schroeder began her career as a CPA with Ernst & Young and spent the majority of her executive career in the financial services sector.
She was previously a Managing Director at CIBC Oppenheimer and PaineWebber, beginning her career on Wall Street in 1993.
She was a Managing Director and Senior Advisor in the equities division of Morgan Stanley, based in London and New York City.
She was CEO and Chair of WebTurner Corp., where she also served as an independent board member.
RECOGNITION
She was named to the National Association of Corporate Directors “Directorship 100” list in 2020.
She was the Number One-ranked Institutional Investor All-America Research analyst in 2001 and 2002.
She was a member of the All-America Research team for seven years.
