Academic History

TEZOS

  • In 2014, Breitman published a paper on the topic of blockchains under the pseudonym L.M. Goodman. In the paper, he suggested the idea of a different architecture for blockchain and called it Tezos.

  • Together with his wife Kathleen Breitman, the duo envisioned a blockchain that went beyond Bitcoin's limited governance model by allowing people to actively engage in its evolution.

  • Arthur is the architect behind the Tezos protocol, a cryptocurrency aimed at solving the problem of governance within the blockchain.

  • Today, Tezos is an open-source platform for assets and applications that can evolve by upgrading itself. Stakeholders govern upgrades to the core protocol, including upgrades to the amendment process itself.
