Beniamin Mincu is the Co-Founder and CEO of MultiversX, a highly scalable, secure, and decentralized blockchain platform designed for speed, efficiency, and interoperability. He leads the company’s efforts in building Layer 1 blockchain solutions, focusing on cross-chain security and interoperability, asset tokenization, and sovereign chains. Mincu is a prominent figure in the blockchain and Web3 space, widely recognized for his thought leadership and influence across the global crypto community. Prior to founding MultiversX, he co-founded and served as CEO of Metachain Capital, a digital asset investment fund with notable investments across Polkadot, Binance, Brave, Tezos, and other leading blockchain projects. Earlier in his career, Mincu led strategy and marketing at the NEM.io Foundation, helping enterprises implement smart asset blockchain solutions to improve efficiency and transparency. Beniamin Mincu is a technology visionary and one of the early pioneers of blockchain in Europe.
He has been instrumental in driving MultiversX’s development as a scalable Layer 1 blockchain, with a focus on cross-chain security, interoperability, asset tokenization, and sovereign chains.
Under Mincu’s leadership, MultiversX has emerged as a Top-100 Layer 1 blockchain, capable of processing up to 263,000 transactions per second, and supporting a rapidly growing ecosystem of over 8,200 decentralized applications (dApps) and 3,200 validator nodes.
The platform serves both enterprises and the developer community, providing tools and infrastructure for a wide range of Web3 applications, decentralized finance (DeFi), and metaverse experiences.
Previously, as co-founder and CEO of Metachain Capital, Mincu guided investments in more than 25 blockchain startups, fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and the development of unique products and business lines in the digital asset space.
Earlier in his career, Mincu was a core member of NEM.io Foundation, where he helped transform the project from a Bitcointalk forum post into a global billion-dollar blockchain platform, establishing a foundation for enterprise adoption and smart asset applications.
