Carlos Domingo is the Co-Founder and CEO of Securitize, the leading compliance platform for security tokens or digital securities on the blockchain. At Securitize, his leadership is focused on leveraging blockchain technology to modernize the traditional finance sectors by making securities more accessible, efficient, and compliant. He is also the Founder of SPiCE VC, the first truly liquid, inclusive and transparent tokenized VC on the blockchain. With over 25 years of experience in innovation and digital transformation, Domingo’s work has been instrumental in shaping the future of digital securities, emphasizing transparency and security. Prior to Securitize, he was CEO of Research and Development for Telefonica, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, as well as CEO of New Business and Innovation for Telefonica Digital.

He has developed a major part of his career in Japan and the USA, where he has been CEO and CTO or board member of several tech startups.
His professional expertise includes digital transformation, blockchain, security tokens, startup investing, product development, innovation, and multimedia.
He is also an active business angel with investments in companies like BlinkBooking, BuyFresco, Chicfy, FlieThis, Masterbranch, Offerum, Captio, Zyncro, MailTrack, Chicfy, Chicisimo, Novicap, Bagonboard and several others.
He served on the board of directors of Jajah, Tuenti, Tokbox, Telefonica Digital and Telefonica Ventures.

Carlos has a notable tenure at Telefonica, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, where he spearheaded innovation and new ventures.
He joined Telefonica in 2006 Director of Internet & Multimedia and Director of the Barcelona Center.
Most recently, he was President and CEO of Telefonica R&D and Director of Product Development and Innovation at Telefonica Digital.
EARLY CAREER
Carlos was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Techstars, where he helped launch their new program in Dubai and got access to deal flow for SPiCE VC.
He was Chief New Business and Innovation Officer at du, where he led business and innovation that includes digital services, ICT, video and media services.
He was the Founder and Board Member of Wayra, Telefonica's Corporate Venture Capital and its open innovation platform.
He also served as CEO and President Extensis and LizardTech. He also served as CTO of Synera Systems.
