Constance Hunter
Constance Hunter is the Chief Economist of KPMG. In this role, she works closely with KPMG and clients to identify inflection points, opportunities, and risks that occur in the complex economic landscape. Hunter is a recognized economic thought leader specializing in how economic factors affect asset prices and business performance around the world. Prior to joining KPMG, she held high-level positions in the asset management sector. She is also a regular speaker at conferences and a frequent guest on all major financial media channels.

- Hunter is a member of KPMG’s Pension Advisory Committee and its Sensory Advantage Ecosystem.
- She is also known for correctly identifying economic turning points. These include:
- the Russian currency devaluation in 1998
- the Dotcom bubble in 2001
- the real estate and credit crisis in 2007-2008
- the recovery of the housing market and concurrent low bond yields in 2012
- the continued low bond yields during the post-Great Recession recovery and into the expansion
- the Fed rate cuts that occurred later in 2019
- She started forecasting the economic impact of COVID-19 on the U.S. economy in early February.
