Erick Calderon, aka Snowfro, is a generative artist, technologist, and Founder and CEO of Art Blocks, the world's first platform dedicated to decentralized generative art. Erick has transformed the way people see and understand generative art by building a platform that puts artists’ algorithms on the blockchain so that collectors can mint outputs as NFTs. An early CryptoPunks NFT collector, he seeks to combine provenance with generative output, leading him to launch the first collection on Art Blocks called the Chromie Squiggle. Chromie Squiggle, the first AB Curated NFT drop, uses minted token seeds to determine characteristics like the rate of gradient change and how many segments each has. Two of Erick’s generative NFT projects recently sold for a combined cost of $4M.
