Harvey Sawikin is the Co-Founder and Principal of Firebird Management, the first Russian portfolio equity fund based in New York, NY. He is a lead manager of Firebird’s Eastern Europe and Russia funds and also serves on the Management Boards of the Amber private equity funds. Prior to this, Sawikin was a clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals and an M&A specialist at the prominent law firm of Wachtell Lipton. He left the high-powered law firm in the early 1990s to pursue an interest in investing. Sawikin is now one of the most distinguished investors in Russia.
