Jim Dunn is the of Verger Capital Management, an investment management firm providing Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) services to a select group of nonprofit institutions. Before founding Verger, he served as Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Wake Forest University, overseeing the management of more than $1.4 billion in endowment, working capital, and life income assets. Earlier in his career, Dunn was a Managing Director at Wilshire Associates, where he led initiatives in asset allocation, investment policy, and manager selection. He also served as Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager for Wilshire Funds Management, the firm’s money management division.

Dunn served as Chief Investment Officer at Wake Forest University and worked closely with the investment policy committee of the University's Board of Trustees in partnering with the most sophisticated investment management organizations throughout the world.
He also served on the President's Cabinet, the Wake Forest Faculty Athletics Committee and the College Town Steering Committee.
He created Verger at the Wake Forest University Office of Investments as a spin-off OCIO to serve other endowments and their client base has continued to grow ever since.

Dunn served as the Chairman of the Wilshire Funds Management Investment Committee and served as Portfolio Manager for all of Wilshire Fund Management’s alternative investment portfolios.
He served on Villanova University's President's Advisory Council and Wake Forest University's Faculty Committee on Athletics.
He was a past board member of CFA Society North Carolina, CAPTRUST, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
