Josh Targoff
Josh Targoff is a Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Legal Officer at Third Point LLC, an investment management firm and hedge fund known for its activist investment strategy. Targoff oversees the firm’s finance, accounting, trading operations, and investor relations and marketing functions. He also oversees compliance, and works closely with the firm’s investment team on its activist-shareholder campaigns as part of his General Counsel duties. Prior to joining Third Point, Targoff served as General Counsel at the Investment Banking Division of Jefferies, a leading global, full-service investment banking and capital markets firm. He spent seven years doing Mergers & Acquisitions transactional work at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP.
