Mal Makin

Malcolm Makin is the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Professional Planning Group, an independent registered investment advisory firm. Regarded as one the early leaders in the financial planning movement, Mal has served on both state and national boards related to the financial planning industry. Mal has been continuously recognized by a variety of organizations and publications for his expertise both as a professional and for the quality of his practice. In addition to providing a wide range of comprehensive wealth planning services, he is also the author and former instructor for a CFP Board-approved continuing education program. He is a nationally recognized author, teacher, and public speaker. In 2015, Mal was presented with the “Youth Development Award” by the Ocean Community YMCA for his leadership, support, and commitment to the mission of the YMCA. He is also a major supporter of numerous charitable organizations.
