Mathias Imbach

Mathias Imbach is the Co-founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Sygnum, the world’s first digital asset bank, and a digital asset specialist with global reach. He also serves as a member of the Executive Board of Sygnum Switzerland. Mathias has led several venture capital and private equity investments during his career. Prior to co-founding Sygnum, he was General Manager at RNT Associates, Ratan N. Tata's personal investment platform, where he joined as the first employee. He began his career at Bain & Company and led advisory projects for private equity funds, family offices, and technology companies. Mathias is passionate about disruptive technologies, and the ongoing movement towards more democratic economic value creation enabled by distributed networks and business models. He has participated in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology-related equity deals around the globe.
