Matt Audette
Matt Audette is Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Business Operations at LPL Financial, a leader in the retail financial advice market and one of the country's largest independent broker-dealers. He is responsible for the firm’s financial, risk, compliance and client operations functions. He also oversees the teams responsible for delivering increased operational speed and transparency, along with continued strong risk management, to advisors and institutions. Prior to joining LPL, Audette served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of E*TRADE, a pioneer in the online brokerage industry and subsidiary of Morgan Stanley. During his 16 years with E*TRADE, he was a key contributor in the growth of the franchise, leading a variety of corporate transactions and capital activities. He started his career in financial services at KPMG.

Audette joined LPL in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer and became responsible for the firm's Business Solutions offering in 2022.
Since joining LPL, he has contributed to the firm’s continued growth and profitability by leading corporate acquisitions, debt transactions, the client deposit portfolio, expense management, and capital allocation.
Today, he leads the firm's Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Controllership, Tax, Internal Audit, Corporate Development and Investor Relations groups.
Audette joined ETrade in 2000, when the company acquired ETrade Bank, formerly Telebank.
During his 16 years with E*TRADE, he was instrumental in forming the firm’s finance department.
He was a principal player in the growth of the franchise, where he oversaw a variety of corporate transactions and capital activities.
He also held various roles within E*TRADE, including controller in the capital markets group, Controller of ETrade Bank, and CFO of ETrade Bank.
