Matty Taylor
Matty Taylor is the Co-Founder and General Partner at Colosseum, a Solana-focused startup accelerator focused on attracting, accelerating, and investing in new projects for the Solana ecosystem. Matty is behind some of the biggest hackathons in all of cryptocurrency. He is a former Head of Growth at the Solana Foundation, where he kickstarted the Solana hackathon program in 2020. Matty previously worked in marketing roles at 0xLabs, a developers’ one-stop shop to build financial products on crypto rails, and Square, a global technology company focusing on financial services.

As Head of Growth, he launched Solana's hackathon program in 2020. Over the years, that program brought in over 60,000 participants, 4,000 projects launched, and $600 million in venture funding for winners.
Top Solana ecosystem founders from Tensor, Squads, StepN, Jito, and dozens of other leading projects got their start through Solana Foundation hackathons.
Today, he is building Colosseum, dedicated to running Solana-centric hackathons with a built-in accelerator for select winners.
