Michael Tobin OBE is a seasoned serial entrepreneur and business leader with extensive experience in the technology and data infrastructure sectors. He serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Audioboom, a leading global podcasting and on-demand audio platform focused on hosting, distribution, and monetization. Tobin is widely recognized as the maverick founder and former CEO of Telecity, the FTSE 250 data center operator that he scaled from a £6 million business to a £2.5 billion market cap before its acquisition by Equinix. Over his career, he has held numerous leadership and advisory positions across global technology and infrastructure companies. Today, Tobin continues to mentor UK tech start-ups toward international success while advising enterprises around the world.

EARLY CAREER
Tobin is an authority on leadership, management techniques and business innovation, widely regarded as the creator of the European data center industry.
Prior to joining Telecity, he headed-up Fujitsu’s e-Commerce operations in Frankfurt, Germany, and ran CL’s Danish outsourcing subsidiary out of Copenhagen Denmark.
He also held several senior positions based in Paris for over 11 years including Business Development Director at International Computer Group coordinating global distribution of IT infrastructure.

PHILANTHROPY
Tobin has been involved with the Prince’s Trust, which works to help disadvantaged young people.
He completed a month-long trip to Antarctica to raise money for children with brain tumors. His fundraising efforts have included 40 marathons in 40 days.
