Raghav Kapoor is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Smartkarma, an AI-augmented investment intelligence and research platform serving institutional investors worldwide. As CEO, he leads Smartkarma’s product strategy, technology innovation, and overall business execution, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, actionable investment intelligence. Prior to founding Smartkarma, Kapoor held senior leadership roles across major financial institutions. He served as Managing Director at Religare Capital Markets, where he worked within a diversified financial services group, and was a Founding Partner of Aviate Global, an institutional brokerage focused on emerging markets. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President of Regional Equities Sales at Citigroup, where he built and managed key institutional client relationships across global markets.

EARLY CAREER
Prior to founding Smartkarma, Kapoor joined Religare Capital Markets following the successful exit of Aviate Global (Asia), where he was a Founding Partner and Director of Asian Equities.
Earlier in his career, Kapoor served as Vice President of Regional Equities Sales at Citigroup, where he developed and managed several large institutional client relationships across Asian markets.
He began his professional journey as an Analyst at Oliver Wyman, working on strategic and operational consulting engagements across multiple industries and geographies.
Kapoor was ranked Asia’s Number One investment idea generator from 2011 to 2013, based on performance analysis of more than one million investment ideas.
