Stefan Heck
Dr. Stefan Heck is the Founder and CEO of Nauto, the leader in AI-powered safety and operations excellence for commercial fleets. Under his leadership, Nauto has scored partnerships with a number of automakers, like BMW and GM, while also beginning its international expansion. Prior to Nauto, he was a Consulting Professor at Stanford Precourt Institute for Energy, where he taught courses and conducted research on innovation, energy, and resource economics. He was also Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he co-founded and led the Cleantech and Sustainability practice, and worked with 100 global partners around the world. Heck is an angel investor in disruptive technology companies and is the author of a critically-acclaimed book, Resource Revolution. He advises long-term investors on opportunities for transformational change, including AI-integrated designs for new investment vehicles and modification of existing ones.

Heck was a Consulting Professor at Stanford Precourt Institute for Energy, where he taught courses on energy and entrepreneurship.
He directed the Energy Transformation Collaborative, a program applying the talent of the Stanford community and Silicon Valley to develop and deploy novel solutions to the world's most vexing energy problems.
He was a Research Fellow at the Steyer Taylor Center at the Stanford Business and Law School.
EARLY CAREER
Heck was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he co-founded and led the Cleantech and Sustainability practice.
He worked extensively with Global 100 technology, industrial, infrastructure, building systems, retail, utility and energy companies across the US, China, Korea, Japan, India, and Europe.
Earlier in his career, he was a Web Developer for Apple and a Researcher for PARC.
