Steven Bregman is the Founder and President of Horizon Kinetics. He also serves on the firm's Investment Committee and the Board. In addition, Bregman is a senior member of the research team, where he has oversight responsibilities for all research reports produced by Horizon Kinetics. Prior to this, Bregman was a senior investment officer at Bankers Trust Company, where he was responsible for individual relationships and for setting equity investment guidelines for the Private Bank.

  • Bregman has published a number of papers, notably “Spin-offs Revisited: A Review of a Structural Pricing Anomaly” (1996) and “Equity Strategies and Inflation” (2012).
  • He earned his CFA® Charter in 1989.
