Tom Gahan is the Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Benefit Street Partners, and Head of Alternatives for Franklin Templeton Investments, a global leader in asset management. Prior to launching Benefit Street Partners in 2008, he was Global Head of Capital Markets of Deutsche Bank Securities and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking in the Americas. He also served as Chairman of the Principal Investment Committee and a member of the Global Banking Executive Committee at Deutsche Bank. before that, he spent 11 years at Merrill Lynch, most recently as Global Head of Credit Trading within the Fixed Income division.
