Toby Loftin is the Founder and Managing Principal of BP Capital Fund Advisors, a registered investment advisor with a focus on energy and energy infrastructure. He co-manages the BP Capital TwinLine MLP Fund and the BP Capital TwinLine Energy Fund. Loftin is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the investment management industry. He began managing the family wealth of T. Boone Pickens in 2010, serving on the energy icon’s investment committee. Before joining BP Capital, he was a Partner of SteelPath Fund Advisors and SteelPath Capital Management, formerly Alerian. In addition to BPCFA, he is a business advisor and a member of innovative ventures in the energy and technology fields.
Loftin manages BPCFA's portfolios, client relationships and business strategy.
He co-manages the BP Capital TwinLine MLP Fund and the BP Capital TwinLine Energy Fund.
Before that, he managed the firm's energy infrastructure MLP investments.
The firm serves as the sub adviser to the Hennessy BP Energy and Hennessy BP Midstream Funds.

EARLY CAREER
He began managing the family wealth of T. Boone Pickens in 2010, serving on the energy icon’s investment committee.
In 2013, he started BP Capital Fund Advisors with Pickens’ support. Pickens shuttered the hedge fund five years later.
He also served as Director of Institutional Equity Research Sales with Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets, where he focused on the energy sector and the MLP asset class.
He was also involved in Equity Research Sales at Lehman Brothers and Institutional Equity Sales at Hoak Breedlove Wesneski.
