Andrew Law is the Chairman and CEO of Caxton Associates, a global macro hedge fund. Prior to Caxton he was Managing Director, Goldman Sachs, as head of proprietary trading in London as a Managing Director in the Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities Division. A well-known financier and hedge fund manager, his trading activities are focused primarily on strategic, macro portfolio management, and macro trading. He also specializes in directional trading in the global interest rate, foreign exchange, commodities, credit, and equity markets. Law is also a philanthropist who sponsors a multi academy trust centered around his old school in Manchester.

Law joined the London office of Caxton in 2003; he was appointed Chief Investment Officer globally in early 2008, and to his current position effective January 2012.
He served as Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where he headed the FICC proprietary trading.
He began his career as a proprietary trader at Chemical Bank, where he rose to head of the interest rate proprietary and fund trading desk.
