Bertrand Perez
Bertrand Perez is the CEO of Web3 Foundation, best known for its leading project, Polkadot. Perez has been involved in the software and telecommunications industry since 1993. He has over 25 years of engineering and technical management experience in payments and telecoms, leading global engineering and operations teams of all sizes with specialization in architecture and services with 24/7 constraints. Prior to joining Web3 Foundation, he was Managing Director and COO of Diem Association, formerly Libra, a blockchain-based payment system that enables universal access to financial services. Before that, he was Senior Director of Payments at Paypal, where he was responsible for the development and maintenance of several core componens of the company's payments platform.
