Bradford van Vorhees is a passionate bitcoin enthusiast, global connector, and entrepreneur who has over a decade of experience in implementing sustainability and energy efficiency in highly complex global supply chains. Bradford is the Co-founder of Sustainable Bitcoin Protocol, a global sustainability market mechanism helping bitcoin become the planet's most powerful climate positive asset. Previously, he spent 8 years as a core leader in the development of VF Corporation's sustainability program, focusing on renewable energy and energy efficiency for mega factories across Asia. He has worked on sustainable supply chains and responsible sourcing with brands such as The North Face, Wrangler, Timberland and Vans. He was also instrumental in the development of the world's largest solar rooftop project located in Southern Vietnam.
VIETNAM IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
He developed and launched VIP that helps factories in Vietnam implement energy efficiency and adopt renewable energy.
In its first year, VIP was picked up by IFC and scaled by adding the supply chains of international brands like Puma, Adidas, and New Balance.
The program also developed and installed the second largest solar rooftop installation in Vietnam.
VF CORPORATION
Brad sat within the leadership team of VF's Global Responsible Sourcing program for the regions of EMEA, Bangladesh, India, Southeast Asia, and greater China.
He created VF's "Worker and Community Development" globally, addressing the most pressing needs of workers throughout the organization.
He was also responsible for engaging VF's highly complex supply chain in 4 critical areas: energy, efficiency, sustainable cotton, wastewater and the Higg index.
He also engaged regularly with globally recognized NGOs, local governments, and stakeholders to ensure VF's sustainability objectives.
