Dan Oliver is the Founder and Managing Member of Myrmikan Capital, an investment firm specializing in micro-capitalized gold and silver mining companies. Dan publishes commentary on monetary and investment principles in various media outlets, covering gold, interest rates, and the Federal Reserve. He also covers these topics in his regular appearances on financial television and radio. Prior to Myrmikan, he worked for Bearing Capital, a private equity firm in Buenos Aires. Dan serves as the President of the Committee for Monetary Research & Education, a non-profit educational organization that promotes greater public understanding of the nature of monetary institutions. He is a National Review Institute Fellow and is an alumnus of the Swiss American Foundation’s Young Leadership Conference.
EARLY CAREER
Dan practiced corporate law at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, and co-founded two venture capital firms.
He landed his first job at the International Herald Tribune in Paris, where he discovered his love of writing.
