David Rose is a serial entrepreneur, an Inc 500 CEO, and one of the world’s most active angel investors. Rose is the Founder and Chairman of Gust, which operates the world's largest online platform and community for entrepreneurs and early-stage investors. He is the author of the New York Times bestselling books The Startup Checklist and Angel Investing, which has become a definitive how-to guide for anyone considering making or receiving angel investments. He also founded the Finance, Entrepreneurship & Economics track at Singularity University, and is a keynote speaker on the future of business and technology.   • Rose has been described as "the Father of Angel Investing in New York" by Crain's New York Business and a "world conquering entrepreneur" by BusinessWeek.

  • He has also been dubbed as "New York Archangel" by Forbes and "patriarch of Silicon Alley" by Red Herring.

  • He chairs the New York Angels, one of the most active angel investment groups in the country, which has invested over $60 million into nearly 70 companies.

  • Gust was named the world's most innovative financial technology company by SWIFT, and has won the CODiE Award for Best Collaboration Solution for three years in a row. 

  • Gust is used by over a million entrepreneurs in 193 countries to connect with over 85,000 early-stage investors.

  • Through his early stage technology venture capital firm Rose Tech Ventures, he has helped to fund over 110 early stage companies, with exits to companies including Facebook, Google, Intel, Amazon, and other industry leaders.

  • Rose was the initial investor and Chairman of the Board of each of JUMP Bikes, acquired by Uber; Comixology, acquired by Amazon; Pond5, acquired by Accel; and Panjiva, acquired by S&P Global.

  • Earlier in his career, he was co-founder of one of the world’s first computer training firms, and spent a decade developing technology-enhanced real estate

  • Prior to that, he served as Deputy Director of the New York office of US Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan.
