Evan Cheng
Evan Cheng is a web3 tech expert and the Co-Founder and CEO of Mysten Labs, a crypto and blockchain tech company creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate Web3 adoption. Cheng had spent the last 16 years at high-profile tech companies such as Apple and Meta, previously Facebook. Prior to launching Mysten, he was Director of Research and Development at Novi Financial, Meta’s crypto wallet, where he led systems and security, programming language and formal verification, and new product experimentation. Before that, he spent over a decade at Apple, most recently as Senior Manager of Low Level Tools, responsible for overseeing seven engineering teams.

Cheng was Facebook's Director of Engineering for Programming Languages & Runtimes, where he led mobile runtimes and optimization pipelines.
At Apple, he oversaw efforts in static and runtime compilation for both CPUs and GPUs and bitcode tooling, among others.
He was a Senior Principal Engineer for Synfora, where he served as a technical lead for the compiler and development tools group.
Before that, he was an Engineer for Equator Technologies.
