Flori Marquez is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of BlockFi, a cryptocurrency lending platform. Marquez has spent her career managing alternative lending products. Prior to launching BlockFi, she spent some time in the marketplace lending industry where he helped build, scale, and optimize a $125MM portfolio for Bond Street, a firm acquired by Goldman Sachs. She also served as Bond Street’s Head of Portfolio Management, managing all operations from point of origination through default and litigation. Before that, she helped develop and maintain institutional partnerships at Oak Hill Advisors, a $30B fixed income asset manager.
BlockFi was among the first to fall due to crypto exchange FTX's collapse. The firm filed for bankruptcy in 2022.
BlockFi will start interim crypto distributions through Coinbase.
BlockFi clients will be able to access crypto withdrawals via Coinbase after the platform shuts down its web platform.
This engagement with Coinbase ensures continuity in crypto withdrawals for those holding BlockFi accounts following the closure of the initial withdrawal window for eligible estate funds on the platform.
