Frank Holding Jr.

Frank B. Holding, Jr. is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of First Citizens Bank and parent company First Citizens BankShares. At the helm of the third-generation financial institution with over $49 billion in assets, Frank leads one of the largest family-controlled banks in the nation. He previously served as president of First Citizens, after having held senior management positions with the bank in Charlotte, Raleigh, Wilmington, Swansboro, and Fayetteville. Frank is a strong leader with extensive management and financial experience, with excellent public and business leadership experience including serving as a director and member of various committees of other public and non-public companies. Previously, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for IronStone Bank and Chairman of North Carolina Chamber of Commerce.
