Gary Norcross is the Chairman, President and CEO of FIS, a global leader in financial services technology. In his role, Gary is highly focused on driving FIS' 12B global business strategy. Gary’s client-focused approach has allowed him to oversee significant growth of the firm’s portfolio and global footprint. Under his leadership, FIS has grown to more than 55,000 employees worldwide, serving over 20,000 clients in more than 130 countries. More recently, he drove the company’s 2019 acquisition of Worldpay, one of the world’s leading global eCommerce and payment technology companies, and largest ever in the financial technology industry. He is highly respected throughout the industry, with experience serving financial institutions large and small, domestic and global. Gary also holds a variety of leadership and board of directors’ roles. Prior to joining FIS, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Community Bank Market Segment at Alltel Information Services.
Gary was critical to FIS' acquisition and integration of Metavante Technologies, Inc. and SunGard.
He was also heavily involved in the firm's acquisitions of a large number of companies, including Certegy and eFunds.
He went on to serve in a variety of leadership roles prior to being named President and COO of FIS in 2012.
He started his career with FIS more than 30 years ago when he joined Systematics Inc. in 1988 as an entry-level programmer.
