Greg Tusar is a senior fintech executive and Head of Institutional Product at Coinbase, where he directs product strategy and infrastructure development across Prime Brokerage, Custody, Institutional Financing, and the Coinbase Exchange. He joined the digital asset platform following its acquisition of Tagomi, a premier crypto prime brokerage firm he co-founded in 2018. With more than two decades of experience spanning traditional Wall Street market making, algorithmic execution, and digital asset prime services, Tusar sits at the forefront of institutional crypto adoption. Prior to founding Tagomi, Tusar served as Head of Global Execution Services and Platforms at KCG Holdings (now Virtu Financial), overseeing its Retail Market Making and Institutional platform operations. Tusar also spent 13 years at Goldman Sachs in leadership roles within the firm's algorithmic trading business. During his tenure, he helped expand Goldman Sachs' electronic trading franchise, working directly with institutions to optimize execution costs while helping the firm invest in and shape core industry infrastructure, including multiple exchanges and technology providers.

EARLY CAREER

  • He also represented Goldman Sachs in strategic investments and governance roles across emerging exchange venues, electronic communications networks (ECNs), and core financial technology providers.
