Joshua Friedman
Joshua Friedman is Co-Founder, Co-Chairman, and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Canyon Partners, a leading global alternative asset management firm. After completing his studies at Harvard, Friedman was employed at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he worked in their mergers and acquisitions group. In 1983, Friedman joined Drexel Burnham Lambert and later became director of capital markets for high yield and private placements. He is a recipient of the Institutional Investor’s “Lifetime Achievement” Award.

- Friedman is a member of the Board of Directors of Harvard Management Company.
- He is also a member of Harvard’s Committee on University Resources; the Harvard Business School Board of Dean’s Advisors; the Harvard University Campaign Executive Committee; the Southern California Leadership Council for Harvard Law School; and the Harvard University Task Force on business-school" and Engineering.
- He serves as a Trustee for the California Institute of Technology, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
- He is a member of the Investment Committees for the Broad Foundation and the J. Paul Getty Trust and chairs the Caltech Investment Committee and the LACMA Finance Committee.
