He is skilled in data science, machine learning, AI, and go-to market strategies. Martin is a former IBM Chief Economist and former IBM Chief Analytics Officer, where he led the company’s data science function for over 20 years. He has also recently begun as a Fellow with The Productivity Institute at the University of Manchester, where he is leading research focused on the intersection of productivity, technology, and transformation.

Prior to joining IBM, Martin was a Principal Consultant with Abt Associates, Cambridge Massachusetts.

Martin began his professional career at the System Dynamics Group, Alfred P. Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
