Mike Wilson is Chief U.S. Equity Strategist and Chief Investment Officer for Morgan Stanley, a leading global financial services firm. He offers a unique perspective on markets to both institutional and wealth management clients, leveraging best-in-class research. He is also responsible for overseeing all investment and asset allocation advice provided to the firm's $2.1+ trillion in retail client assets. Wilson is one of Wall Street's most prominent bears. He gained significant recognition for his accurate forecast of the S&P 500's bear market in 2022, a downturn that marked the index's worst performance since 2008. Wilson began his career with the firm in 1989 as an investment banker.
Previously, he held various positions within Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equity Division, including the Head of Content Distribution for North American Equities.
Prior to his current role, he was appointed Chief Investment Officer of Wealth Management for the firm.
He serves on the Operating Committees of Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management and Institutional Securities divisions.
He is also a member of the Morgan Stanley Retirement Plan Investment Committee.

His S&P's 500 bear market prediction earned him top honors in Institutional Investor's annual survey in 2022.
However, his prediction for 2023, which anticipated the S&P 500 to close the year at 3,900, fell short as the index approached record highs, driven by a rally in mega cap tech stocks and closing near 4,800 on December 29.
