Paul Brody is the Global Blockchain Leader at Ernst & Young, responsible for driving EY initiatives and investments in blockchain technology across consulting, audit and tax business lines. Under his leadership, EY established a global presence in the blockchain space with a particular focus on public blockchains, assurance, and business application development in the Ethereum ecosystem. With blockchain services teams in the Americas, Europe and Asia, his team works with service lines to build a portfolio of services across tax, audit, and business transformation. Brody has extensive experience in the areas of IoT, supply chain and operations and business strategy, developed over 20 years at multiple start-ups, McKinsey & Company, and at IBM as Vice President for the Electronics Industry. In addition to EY, he is also a member of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance and a CoinDesk contributor.
Brody joined EY as the Americas strategy leader for the technology sector in 2015. He built a strategy and technology road map for one of EY's major clients.
He led EY's first blockchain strategy engagement, examining how digital services, payments and internet of things are coming together in new ecosystems.
As the Global Blockchain Leader, he oversees the firm's blockchain strategy and solutions, including the OpsChain tokenization platform and Blockchain Analyzer analytics tools.
He also led EY to develop the Nightfall privacy-enabled Ethereum Layer 2 network and the Starlight zero-knowledge compiler, both distributed to the public domain and the Ethereum community.
Prior to joining EY, he was the Vice President for the Electronics Industry at IBM.
During his 12-year tenure at IBM, he held a number of executive positions within the company and led IBM's services business to the global electronics industry.
He led IBM's mobile and internet of things services business in North America and was responsible for the firm's strategic alliances in the market.
