Pauline Brown is a renowned leader and advisor in the luxury goods industry. Throughout her career, she has helped acquire, build and lead global luxury brands. Pauline formerly served as the Chairman of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton North America, where she provided regional leadership for 70 brands in 5 sectors, including fashion, beauty, jewelry, wines & spirits and specialty retail. Prior to joining LVMH, she was a Managing Director at The Carlyle Group, where she specialized in buyouts in the retail and consumer sectors. She also held senior executive positions at Estée Lauder and Avon. Pauline is the author of a business book "Aesthetic Intelligence," published by HarperCollins, which serves as the basis for her coursework at Aesthetic Intelligence Labs. She currently serves as a Board Member of America's leading luxury retailer Neiman Marcus, a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute, and the host of the popular lifestyle show, Tastemakers, which airs weekly on the American broadcasting channel Sirius XM. She also advises businesses on consumer marketing, brand building and retail management.
EARLY CAREER
She was on the board of several LVMH subsidiaries including Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs and Fresh Cosmetics.
At The Carlyle Group, she specialized in global buyouts in the consumer and retail sectors.
As SVP for Corporate Strategy and Global Business at Avon, she developed the company’s short- and long-term growth strategies.
At Avon, she was also involved in planning and executing key components of its turnaround plan, launching new business initiatives and driving all external opportunities.
In her role as VP of Corporate Strategy and New Business at Estee Lauder, she was responsible for all M&A and licensing efforts.
