Randy Garcia, CIMA®, AIFA®, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Investment Counsel Company, the first and largest Nevada-based independent investment management consulting firm. Prior to establishing ICC in 1987, he worked as an investment advisor for UBS. He is Nevada's first Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), has over five National Securities Industry professional licenses, and also received the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst designation. An innovative leader in the investment management industry, Randy has been recognized for his expertise and excellence by numerous financial industry publications. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Randy is highly involved in numerous community and philanthropic activities—serving on the boards of different organizations such as UNLV Foundation, Foundation Investment Committee, and The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Randy and his family focus on supporting the community in ways which enhance the lives of underprivileged youth, with the goal of fostering positive, systemic change in Southern Nevada.

Academic History

  • Randy underwrites the Lee School of Business Finance Department lecture series.
  • He initiated and, for more than a decade, underwrote the Latin Chamber of Commerce Annual Career Day.
  • He has sponsored supplemental enrichment programs in the Clark County School District.
  • He pledged a $100,000 scholarship in the inaugural class of the UNLV School of Medicine.
