Sa'ad Shah is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Noetic, a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage psychedelic-based wellness, therapeutic and pharmaceutical companies globally. Sa’ad has spent the last 25 years in the capital markets and asset management industry with a focus on alternative investment strategies. Prior to Noetic, he was Managing Director and Head of Marketing & Client Service at The Carlyle Group. He also spent nine years at RBC Capital Markets in real estate banking, corporate credit, and derivative sales & trading. In addition, Sa’ad is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Grey House Partners, Venture Partner at Alpha Partners, an Affiliate Partner at Lindsay Goldberg LLC and a Venture Advisor to Learn Capital LLC. He is also a filmmaker, scriptwriter and producer, and a board member of several for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.

Sa'ad was Managing Director of Diversified Global Asset Management, a $7B Asset Management firm focused on zero beta/low correlation hedge funds.
He was a Director at RBC, where he was also Head of Financial Engineering Deal Team/FX & Commodity Derivatives.
During his time at RBC, he was also VP of Loan Syndication and Associate for Corporate and Investment Banking.
