Tristan Frizza is the Co-Founder of Zeta Markets, a Solana-based decentralized exchange known for facilitating on-chain perpetuals trading. He co-launched Zeta behind his passion for open-source software and the potential to democratize finance. Prior to Zeta, he served as a Machine Learning Scientist and an Associate Data Scientist at Atlassian, where he contributed in building infrastructure and predictive models for the company's in-house machine leading platform and serving recommendations to tens of millions of users.

CRYPTOCURRENCY

  • His interest in cryptocurrency started in 2017 when he traded his first crypto.

  • The turning point came in 2021 when Tristan and his team triumphed in a Solana hackathon, outshining over 13,000 participants, which catalyzed the transformation of their proof of concept into a prominent decentralized exchange.

  • He then worked in AI research and as a data scientist in Silicon Valley, eventually writing his thesis on Generative Adversarial Network for Image Super-Resolution for which he received First Class Honours.


EARLY CAREER

  • Tristan served as an AI Researcher for Nearmap, where he conducted research on Generative Adversarial Networks for aerial image super-resolution.

  • He was a Machine Learning Engineering for Lumaway, focused on researching and developing state-of-the-art language understanding models.

  • He also has experience as a Delegate at Stanford ASES and a Software Engineer at Dataro.
