Walter Schmidt
Walter Schmidt is Co-Founder and Senior Managing Partner at Rockwood Capital. He works closely with the other Managing Partners to set the overall strategic direction of the firm and manage the execution of critical firm initiatives. He also serves on various committees at Rockwood, including the investment strategy and research committee as well as the personnel, staffing and compensation committee. Schmidt has over 37 years of experience in the real estate industry. He currently serves on various advisory boards of youth development programs in the United States and Central America.

CAREER
- From 1984 to 1986, Schmidt was a Senior Auditor with Touche Ross & Co, with experience in real estate, light manufacturing, distribution and transportation.
- From 1986 to 1995, Schmidt advanced from Associate to Vice President of Competrol Real Estate Limited and was responsible for asset management of the East Coast portfolio.
- From 1996 to 2010, Schmidt was responsible for the acquisition, asset management, and disposition activities on the East Coast.
