Agustin Lebron is Co-founder and Managing Director of Essilen Research, a business consulting company dedicated to helping tech companies with their scaling challenges. From technical hiring to technical management, Essilen Research helps break down the barriers that limit company growth. Agustin and his team help companies understand the data science and machine learning landscape, and provide help to attack difficult problems in this field. He began his career as an engineer designing radio chips for mobile phones and GPS receivers. In 2008 he switched to a career as a financial trader and researcher, just as the world's financial system was imploding. Over the years, he traded many kinds of securities including equities, futures, commodities, options, and an assortment of other derivatives, and has created, developed and implemented several successful trading strategies. Agustin is also the author of The Laws of Trading.

  • Agustin was a Quant Trader and Researcher for Jane Street Capital, one of the largest market-making firms in the world.

  • During his engineering career, he pioneered in-house techniques for analyzing non-Gaussian distributions of radio chip characteristics.
