Alex Höptner

Alexander Höptner is Chief Executive Officer of BitMEX 100x Group, one of the world's leading cryptocurrency derivatives exchanges. Alex leads the group in pursuing a wider vision of shaping the evolution of digital financial services through strategic investments, innovation, and enhancement of the BitMEX platform. He joins from Börse Stuttgart GmbH and Euwax AG, where he was Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, Börse Stuttgart exchange became a pioneer of digital asset trading, becoming Germany’s first regulated trading venue for cryptocurrency and the European Union’s first traditional exchange operator to become a regulated crypto multilateral trading facility. Alex is an expert in the financial industry with over two decades of experience, including founding two startups for the trading of virtual assets.
