Ali Hassan is a Founding Partner at Perceptive Capital, a crypto-focused investment firm that acts as a DeFi native digital asset hedge fund. Ali is an investor, entrepreneur, and advocate for passive investing, who currently operates a number of crypto-related businesses. Prior to co-founding Perceptive, he was Co-founder and CEO of Crescent Crypto Asset Management, a leading digital asset fund provider. Previously, he was a Research Associate at a New York family office where he was responsible for deal sourcing, research and due diligence on VC opportunities. Ali began his career as an Investment Analyst at Goldman Sachs where his responsibilities included executing syndicate sales for the investment bank’s IPO and follow-on offerings, managing a book of $4.5B in private assets, and trading illiquid small cap equities.

EARLY CAREER Prior to Crescent, he was a Venture Analyst at Fairview Capital Partners, and a Member of the investment team. At Fairview, he focused on due diligence, valuations, and investment monitoring for the firm's venture capital portfolios. Prior to Goldman, he founded and sold Swim Academy, an online marketplace that connected former NCAA swimmers with potential students for private swimming instruction. He boosted Swim Academy's business development, designed custom training sessions, and led an aggressive marketing campaign.
