Brendan Swords is the former Chairman, CEO and Managing Partner of Wellington Management, one of the world's largest independent investment management firms. During his 30-year tenure within Wellington, he held several leadership roles and focused on enhancing the firm's investment capabilities and expanding its global presence. Prior to Wellington Management, Swords was a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company. Before  joining the financial services industry, he was a Captain in the United States Air Force. Swords retired from Wellington Management in 2021 and was succeeded by Jean Hynes as CEO.
