Jean Hynes
Jean Hynes is the CEO of Wellington Management, one of the world’s largest independent investment management firms. She is one of the firm's three Managing Partners who govern the Wellington Management partnership and oversees over 3000 employees across North America, Europe, and APAC. She is also a Portfolio Manager on Wellington's healthcare team which manages more than $70 billion including the Vanguard Healthcare Fund. Throughout her 33 years at the firm, Hynes has been a member of Wellington's Global Industry Research Group and previously held a number of responsibilities including researching the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. She is one of five female CEOs among the top 20 asset management firms and is the recipient of numerous industry awards.

Hynes is the fifth CEO since Wellington Management formed its private partnership, and the first woman to hold this role.
She is a Portfolio Manager of the $51.6 billion Vanguard Health Care Fund, one of the world’s largest dedicated healthcare funds, which she has managed since 2013.
She also serves on a variety of internal management committees, including the Executive, Operating, and Compensation Committees.
Since joining Wellington Management in 1991, she has held numerous roles within the firm, including Global Industry Analyst, Leader of the healthcare sector research team, and Managing Partner.
