Brenton Naicker
Brenton Naicker is Principal and Head of Growth at CV VC Africa, a venture capital and private equity firm with a focus on startups that build on blockchain technology. Naicker is also the Co-Founder and CPO of Dark Wall Ventures, an information technology consulting firm, where they guide companies through the rapidly-changing fields of fintech, digital assets, blockchain and cryptocurrency. In addition, he serves as a Startup Mentor at CV Labs and Founder of Zero-1 Africa, previously Chainlink Capital, a boutique crypto-asset consultancy specializing in servicing high net worth individuals. Naicker is a highly accomplished fintech professional with extensive experience and expertise within the crypto-asset and blockchain technology space. He has a multi-faceted knowledge of the tech, finance, and investment industries, with expertise within the custody, OTC transaction and algorithmic trading spaces. Previously, Naicker was Head of Business Development & Partnerships for Africa at Binance, where he played a pivotal role in the growth and dominance of the firm across the African region. He was also the Founder of DCS-BlockAlpha, a non-custodial SaaS trading tool that automates and streamlines trading in the nascent asset class.

EARLY CAREER & EXPERTISE
At Binance, he was responsible for launching, managing, and expanding operations and partnerships across Africa.
He was a lecturer at Africa Blockchain University, where he lectured on the evolution of money and Blockchain as a natural progression.
He spent 2 years as a Senior Partner and Fintech & Blockchain Lead at Torus Tech, a South African software development firm.
He was an Enterprise Blockchain Strategist at Kagiso Interactive, and a Stakeholder at South African Reserve Bank.
At SARB, he assisted the bank on regulatory bodies and financial institutions to understand and regulate the nascent digital asset space.
He is widely recognized as a subject matter expert in the crypto asset and blockchain space.
