Dan Stern is the Founder and Co-CEO of Reservoir Capital Group, a New York-based investment management firm. Prior to founding Reservoir in 1998, he was President of Ziff Brothers Investments, a private investment advisory firm, and previously worked with the Burden Family in New York and the Bass Family in Fort Worth, Texas. A longtime hedge fund investor, Stern has participated in the formation and development of numerous investment management entities, including HBK Investments, Och-Ziff Capital Management, Starwood Capital, Ellington Capital Management and Anchorage Capital, among others. He is also passionate about the arts and serves on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations.

Prior to Reservoir, Stern co-founded and served as president of Ziff Brothers Investments from 1992 to 1997.
He previously served as managing director of William A.M. Burden & Co. and as an associate at Bass Brothers Enterprises in Fort Worth, Texas.
He has participated in the formation and development of numerous business entities including most notably Starwood Capital, best known for creating and building Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
Stern is passionate about the arts and serves on the boards of The Actors' Gang and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
