David Descalzi is a Managing Director of SeaBridge Investment Advisors, where he is also a Manager of the Core Global, International, and Asia investment strategies. In addition, he serves as the Chairman of Seabridge's Investment Committee. Prior to joining SeaBridge, David spent 22 years at The Prudential Insurance Company of America. At Prudential, David served in a number of senior roles, including Senior Vice President in the Financial Restructuring Group, helping establish Prudential’s Asset Sales and Syndications group, and most recently as Managing Director of Prudential Global Equities responsible for all Asia ex-Japan equity portfolios.
During his tenure in the Global Equities group, Descalzi spent over three years in Hong Kong, returning to the United States at the end of 1997.
In 1988, he helped establish Prudential Asset Sales & Syndications, Inc. (PASS) as the primary private placement, asset Sales organization within Prudential.
He developed and executed Prudential’s first off balance sheet funding vehicle for private placements, primarily leases.
