Egon von Greyerz is the Founder and Chairman of VON GREYERZ AG, formerly Matterhorn Asset Management, the world's leading company for direct investor ownership of physical gold and silver outside of the banking system. Since the 1990s, Egon has been actively involved with financial investment activities, including mergers and acquisitions and asset allocation consultancy for private family funds. He began his career as a banker, and spent 17 years as the Finance Director and Executive Vice Chairman of Dixons, an FTSE 100 company which grew from a small photographic retailer into the largest consumer electronics retailer in the UK.
